I was reading some blogs last week and came across First Lines Friday on What Em’s Reading by EmilyJane1995,find the post here. The post includes a the first sentence, of a book and and what it means to the blogger.

So here we go:-

Anna Karenina by Leo Tolstoy

“Happy families are all alike; every unhappy family is unhappy in its own way”

I know that I did a post 10 books I will not get around to reading even though we are in lock down, which you can see here, I did put Anna Kerenina on this list, but ever since then I have had the first line of this book in my mind. Maybe its because I am reading books set in Russia at the moment, or may because of the situation at the moment we are tied to our families in our homes as never before. Now I am not saying that I am going to change my mind about reading this book soon, but It has gone up my TBR list.

So what are your favourite first lines, and is there is any that come to mind at the moment and do you ever choose which book to read next.
