This is a post, that I do every Friday, which I give you the first line of a book, and explain what I like about the line and what, it means something to me.

So here we go:-

The Day of The Triffids by John Wyndham

“When a day that you happen to know is Wednesday starts of sounding like Sunday there is something seriously weong”

This is another book that I used to listen via a cassette, when I was younger. The line is another one that draws you in to the story. It makes me as a reader think what has happened that has made today quieter than normal, where is the narrator and the question we have all been thinking if we are still in Lock down, is it really Wednesday. So this means that the writer has done his job by bringing you into is novel in 20 words.

So what are do want from a first line, and what are some of your favourite ones lines. Either comment below or start your own First Line Friday post.
