This is a post, that I do every Friday, which I give you the first line of a book, and explain what I like about the line and what, it means something to me.

So here we go:-

Peter Pan by J. M. Barrie

“All children, except one, grow up.”

I had not read Peter Pan until this year, as I never got around to reading it, like wise I had never even seen the Disney cartoon version. Do not get me wrong I had new the general plot and had seen the clips from the film, normally the songs, as they were shown on TV in the U.K. form 1961-1998.

As for the first line of Peter Pan, it is an interesting one, leading the questions who is he and how did he not grow up, or even, would you want to be that boy who did not grow.

So what are do want from a first line, and what are some of your favourite ones lines. Either comment below or start your own First Line Friday post.
