This is my latest WWW Wednesday. I saw this by Bookworms Anonymous, who said it was started by MizB at A Daily Rythm and currently hosted by Taking on a World of Words. All you have to do is answer the three following questions
What are you currently reading? What did you recently finish? What do you think you will read next?
Here we go with the first question
What are you currently reading?
The Mountain Sings
Que Mai Phan Nguyen
I got this from Netgalley for a fair and honest review, it tells the story of a family set against the background of the Vietnam War, i asked to read this at first as i wanted to read more Historical books outside of World War II.
As I really enjoyed I Invited Her In, by Adele Parks, I decided to read another of her audio books, this one is set in the 1920’s, and tells the story of the women, after World War I who were able to find husbands because of the number of men, who died in that conflict.
What did you recently finish?
Wife After Wife
I got this book from NetGally for a fair and honest review. It is a retelling of the Henry VIII, king of England story, but moved into the modern world telling the story of Henry Rose the 18 richest person on the Forbes list, whose business is coming under more scrutiny. review to follow in the next few days.
I Invited Her In
Joanne Froggatt (Narrator)
This is the perfect audio book at the moment for me, I can pick it up for a time and leave it for a day and I am still able to continue with it. The book is about 2 friends at university who have not seen each other, since Mel got pregnant, and left to raise the child on her own. Abi married and moved to America and has a career as a tv interviewer, however, after finding her husband in bed with his PA. Abi, flew back to the UK, moving in with Mel. Who is now happily married with a son, and two young daughters.
What do you think you will read next?
I have 2 books that I am thinking about reading next, all of them one them is historical fiction set in, World War II and the other is a thriller.
Life and Fate
This is the book that follows straight on from Stalingrad which I read earlier this month, from Netgalley for a fair and honest review. It takes the story on from when the first book ended.
This is a story for the modern Mrs Darcy Reading Challenge, in the read a book form the decade you where born in, I thought I would read this book as it does not seem very long and it is not a writer I have not read before.
Holy Moli and Other Stories
I got this book from Booksirens for a fair and honest review. It is a collection of short stories, filled with optimism and grit and resilience written about everyday people set in India.
