This is the post I do every Friday, which I post a first line of a book, which generally has a connection to a date close to when it is posted. In addition the book is usually one that I have read or is on my TBR.
So here goes:-
Pacific Vortex! by Clive Cussler
“Among the crowd strewn beaches in the state of Hawaii, it is still posible to discover a stretch of sand that offers a degree of solitude. ”
I chose to do a Clive Cusslerfor my first line Friday today as 15th of July would have been is 89th birthday, however, he passed away earlier this year on the 24th February 2020.
The first line I used is from the novel, Pacific Vortex, which is from the Dirk Pitt series of books, where he is the head of National Underwater and Marine Agency. The book, Pacific Vortex, though the first book that Clive Cussler wrote, which had Dirk Pitt in it, the book was not realesd, until 5 other books in the series had been released.
Pacific Vortex! tells the story of Dirk Pit, looking for Starbuck, America’s latest deep diving nuclear arsenal, in a race against time before it explodes, as well as facing underwater assassins.
History with Book
Although I have not read this book it is still on my TBR, to read when I am in the mood for a see based thriller.
