This is the post I do every Friday, which I post a first line of a book, which generally has a connection to a date close to when it is posted. In addition the book is usually one that I have read or is on my TBR.
The Reason I decided to do The Hunger Games, As my First line Friday Book, today, is because the writer Suzanne Collins has her birthday on the 10th August the Monday after this post goes up.
So here goes:-
The Hunger Games By Suzanne Collins
“When I wake, the other side of the bed is cold ”
The Hunger Games tells, you lives of the country of Penem, which has a wonderful capital, surrounded, by Twelve districts..
To maintain order every year one male and one female child between the ages of 12 and 18, from each district are chosen to take part in a TV event, Where these 24 children compete against each other in a fight to the death, where only one can survive.
Into this TV show is a sixteen year old girl Katniss Everdeen, who is enterd by the poorest area, district12, which is normally a death sentence for the children of thi region. However maybe Katniss is more resourceful than most.

Relationship with The Hunger Games
As someone who supposedly is not in the target Market for this book I was probably not going to read it. However at about the time the movie was released the book was everywhere and so after reading the synopsis I decided to read the first book.
It took me about weekend to read it, which is very unusual for me, as I can probably count on my fingers the number of books I have read that fast. To this end I did decide to read the other 2 in the series.
At the moment I have not read the prequel, as at the moment it does not interest me however with me and books I learnt never to say never, where books are concerned.
