The Lost Girls of Paris, is a fictional story of how in World War II woman were used by the Special Operations Executive (SOE), in occupied France in the aiding the French resistance during the Nazi occupation. The story is told using the point of View of three women, Grace Healey, Elanor Trigg and Marie. Using the documents and letters in a simaler way to The Historian by Elizabeth Kostova which was reviewed here.

Synopsis

The Pillars of the Earth by Ken Follett is novel can only be an epic due to its size as it is around 1500 pages long. It also covers 50 years of turmoil in English history from the White Ship Disaster 1120 through The Anarchy, to shortly after the Murder of Thomas Becket in 1170. The novel does this by telling the story of a Building of a Cathedral in the priory town of Kingsbridge and how these are affected by the history of the time

Feeling in a bit of a rut in how I choose which book to read, I decided to give my reading life a bit of a boost to this end I have been doing some of the reading rush 2019 challnges which is happening this week. One of them was to read a book and watch the movie, as readers we all know that the book is nearly always better then the film, but I decided to both read the and wach the movie with an open mind.
